Nelson Croom partner with CILT(UK) to create online CPD Portfolio for the transport and logistics sector

Nelson Croom has set up a new partnership with CILT(UK) in order to deliver a range of branded online CPD courses for the transport and logistics sector this April.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport - CILT - is the professional body for individuals and organisations involved in all disciplines, modes and aspects of logistics andtransport. The Institute's 20,000 members have privileged access to a unique range of benefits and services.

With such a wide range of experience and different job functions in their membership, CILT is developing the programme to provide more flexible access to training. The courses can be accessed any time online at home or at work. This is ideal for their members, many of whom work shifts.

CILT has taken six courses from Nelson Croom's Professional Development Portfolio, which have been branded and tailored to the membership. The portfolio of courses, called CILT Learning, includes project management, problem solving, negotiation and networking as well as effective communication and leadership skills.

"We are delighted that we have been able to set up a comprehensive range of CPD for our members without any major development costs,"says Lesley Parker, Professional Development Manager at CILT. "By adapting Nelson Croom's Professional Development Portfolio, we will extend the reach of our training provision to our members while minimising the risk for starting a new programme. We have a revenue sharing agreement so that if this works, we can reinvest the income into developing the service further. This will be a real bonus for us, as it is a quick and cost-effective way to improve our services to members."
