Collaboration and risk sharing at the BILD Connect event

What can a publishing approach bring to online learning? Could collaboration be the new model for providing CPD? Who uses online CPD and how can this information help us?

On Monday September 3rd at the Department of Health in London, the BILD held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) together with a Connect Event on the subject of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Alan Nelson gave a presentation to fellow BILD members about collaboration and risk sharing and how this is the key to success when providing online CPD. Delegates at the event included professional associations, local authorities and the third sector, as well as key players in the learning and development community. It was a successful day, enjoyed by all those that attended.

"CPD is a major part of what we do for professional associations and similar organisations here at Nelson Croom. It is very valuable to be able to share some of our experiences and learn from others at this type of event. Nelson Croom is unusual in that we come from a publishing background, and in a way we have reverted back to being publishers - but it's so important to what we do because it works."Alan Nelson commented.

As a member of the British Institute of Learning and Development, Nelson Croom supports the objectives of the BILD to commit to best practice and continuous quality improvement in learning.

You can hear an mp3 of the presentation, or view the slides here.
