Nelson Croom sponsors IRRV 'Excellence in Anti-Fraud' Award

Nelson Croom is proud to sponsor the ‘Excellence in Anti-Fraud’ Award in the IRRV 2008 Performance Awards Scheme. The award will be presented at the IRRV Annual Conference in Manchester on 2nd October.

The 2008 Performance Awards Scheme looks again to build upon the successful schemes of recent years. In 2007, the standard of entries reached an all-time high with a record number of entries received.

This year’s finalists in the ‘Excellence in Anti-Fraud Award’ are Birmingham City Council, Harrow London Borough Council, Manchester City Council and Trafford Borough Council. The Awards Panel is looking for evidence of high levels of performance that have secured a measurable impact on fraud prevention or detection in the area of Benefits and / or Revenues. The finalists have demonstrated that they have excelled in the area of anti-fraud.

Nelson Croom has been working with the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation for 5 years on the Euclidian suite of training programmes. Euclidian is used by local authorities all over the UK to train staff on Benefits, Council Tax and Business Rates.

We are delighted to support the IRRV in this way and I’d like to extend our congratulations to all the local authorities that are in the finals” comments Alan Nelson, Managing Director of Nelson Croom.
