Nelson Croom shortlisted for two E-Learning awards

Nelson Croom has been shortlisted for the prestigious E-Learning Awards 2010 in two categories; E-learning development company of the year and Excellence in the production of learning content - not for profit sector. This follows on from last year's silver award for E-Learning Development Company of the Year.

Nelson Croom is a leading developer and publisher of online learning for professional associations, companies, voluntary organisations and individuals. The company provides flexible and creative solutions for CPD, distance learning, compliance and general professional development.

"This is the second consecutive year Nelson Croom has been shortlisted for the E-Learning development company of the year award, something which we are all proud off," says Alan Nelson, Managing Director, Nelson Croom. "We've worked hard to build on the great feedback we got last year, from our clients, our learners and the E-learning Awards judges and it looks like that's paid off."

Last year, the judges stated that 'Nelson Croom's strong results focus and a very high level of long-term customer retention make it an outstanding company'.

Nelson Croom's second nomination is for work with One Plus One, a research based charity that supports couples with relationship issues. The project was to create e-learning courses to support key workers who frequently find themselves the first point of contact for couples who are struggling in their relationship. They often have no training in relationship and family guidance and so find themselves in awkward situations.

"This project is about giving these frontline workers more confidence to offer help and advice. We're really proud of the results - 86% of learners say they are confident to deal with clients who are distressed about a relationship after completing the online programme compared to only 34% before - so it's great to have the work recognised by the E-learning Awards" says Jacqui Nelson, Elearning Consultant, Nelson Croom.

The E-Learning Awards are now in their sixth year. The awards aim to celebrate excellence in the e-learning industry, and received over 200 entries for the 16 categories. The E-Learning Awards Ceremony and Dinner will be held on Thursday 11th November in London.
