We believe that:
- learning works best when it engages and motivates people.
- effective online learning puts the learner in charge.
- learning should be personalised.
We call our award winning approach Peer-Enriched Learning (PEL). Unlike other online courses, learners don't just sit there watching. They are able to share their thoughts, experience and answers with others so they learn from their peers as well as the experts. We put learners in charge, allowing them to engage in their own development. Learners are actively involved in each course, learning from our expert authors and from each other.

Nelson Croom's Peer-Enriched Learning approach is designed to stimulate intelligent debate and dialogue. We believe that learning works best when it engages and motivates people and that web 2.0 offers the perfect opportunity to implement social tools which encourage this engagement and motivation.
Throughout our courses we are able to include the following;
On every page learners are able to contribute their professional experience and opinions. Other people can read, reflect on and respond to these contributions, creating a learning experience that is different and interactive for every user. The functionality also allows learners to rate each others contributions.
We know that professionals like to learn from each other as much as they do from the experts, so once a learner has submitted their answer to a question they are able to view other learners' responses as well as expert opinion from the author. Seeing different learners' perspectives and opinions can broaden thinking and generate new ideas.
Throughout a course learners are able to take notes to assist in their learning. These notes are for the learner's eyes only and can be used in any way the learners want to assist their learning.
Our approach has been developed over the last ten years - which is a long time in e-learning years! During that time we have become market leaders in online learning design. But don't just take our word for it: at the 2010 E-Learning Awards, we were awarded Gold Awards for the E-Learning Development Company of the Year and Excellence in the Production of Learning Content categories.

Our courses allow learners to make decisions about what they want to learn and how they want to learn it. We create resources that enable learners to find their way quickly to the material that meets their needs and to engage with it in a way that suits their learning style. For example, one learner may have a particular interest in a topic and want to drill down for more information, while others may already be expert in the same topic and want to move on more quickly to a topic which they are interested in.
Good online learning can facilitate this so that everyone remains engaged and interested. We call this diffused learning to distinguish it from more traditional focused learning experiences that typically have a single starting point and a linear approach to navigation.
