Our courses are built in our technical shell, Imago. Nelson Croom has developed Imago specifically to meet the needs of professional adult learners. It offers a unique combination of learning, knowledge management and communication tools.

Imago is a hosted solution which means that our clients can get started quickly and cheaply - all that is required is an Internet connection and browser. There is no complex implementation or installation and there are no hardware or software requirements – the service is provided for our clients from our servers. Sharing the same technology with our clients has two benefits:

• Everything has been properly road tested - no software bugs will get in the way of their learners
• Money can be spent on content and not on reinventing functionality

Learning environment
The Imago learning environment treats learners as grown-ups capable of making decisions about their own learning; no "next screen" buttons and no "screen 1 of 21" statements. Instead it enables learners to specify what they want to learn and how they want to learn it, planning their own personal route through the material. It is split into two complementary elements - the Learning Centre and the Resource Centre - our way of balancing information and learning.

Learner Management System
Imago enables you to see how learners are using a course and to communicate with them and help them to learn. You can track what they are doing, whether for CPD monitoring purposes or to ensure they are completing a compliance programme. Imago managers allows you to monitor usage and scores. You can check what each learner has completed and view aggregate data for different parts of programmes. Imago communicator is the area where you can respond to feedback from learners, run and moderate discussion forums, send out questionnaires and email alerts. Imago editor lets you make changes to the content of courses quickly and simply, without coming back to us. Imago builder enables you to build new courses completely from scratch. Imago is an internet-based system, so you can manage your learners from any location.
