We have been working with the Institute of Physics for many years, providing their members with online learning. Members have access to the full suite of portfolio courses on offer, plus a range of courses that the Institute commissioned us to develop in response to member needs.

As a new initiative, we have created a series of short pieces of online learning, that the Institute are calling "Bitesize learning", to provide members with even more flexibility and choice. Within every Bitesize activity, members work through a short piece of content - such as a short video, scenario or case study - and then reflect on it and respond to a question. They can also see what ideas or experiences fellow members have shared in response. This means that as well as learning from the activity itself, members will also be learning from each other, and benefiting from being part of the Institute of Physics' learning community.

This new Bitesize learning has been launched along with a brand new gateway that provides members with a single access point to all their online learning, including the full course catalogue and access to the exciting resource, Making Money out of Ideas, which we launched for the Institute last year. Making Money out of Ideas enables members to consider their potential as an entrepreneur, understand the steps needed to set up their own business, identify relevant sources of investment and business advice, generate, evaluate and protect their business ideas, develop and present an effective business plan and build influential business relationships.

The Institute of Physics' ongoing investment into the continuing professional development of their members means that they have a fantastic range of resources to support them in their development.  We are looking forward to playing a part in the next initiative!
